Well...its official the Nguyen Family has begun their first blog. I had committed to my family and friends that I would do a better job with pictures (now that I am a parent) and so far - in the first 30 days - I am failing miserably....so I figured it was time to start! Ryker Robert-Phuoc Nguyen was born December 30th at 3:27am. Weighing in at 9lbs 7oz. - it took quite a while for him to come into the world and now its hard to imagine life without him!! The night he was born - Northwestern Hospital had quite a full waiting room - my mom, brother, sister and some of our dearest friends - Anthony, Hope and Noble all waited until the late hours of the morning to be the first to greet him! Since then he has had quite a greeting from all our family and friends! He has taken it pretty easy on us so far and allowed Le and I to ease into the transition of parenthood...but as I say this - he is taking his lungs to a new level upstairs...so I must go...
Stay tuned. Here are a few original pics from the hospital to get me started!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I love the first post, Liz. Blogging is a great way to keep friends and family up to date! Thanks for starting it for us out of towners who won't get to love on Ryker (in person) as much as we would like. Much to our dismay :(
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly blessing he is. I am so excited for you and Le, and I can't wait to meet Ryker!
Well I am going try this "blog comment" again!! I keep trying to be part of Ryker's blog as his Grammie but Google and I just don't seem to get along.
ReplyDeleteMother's Day was just wonderful. Watching my Elizabeth as a Mom has been a gift no one could ever imagine. And becoming a Grandma has been the best ever. We had such a great day. The weather cooperated and we brunched together with little Ryker, his Mom and Dad and of course Aunt Brooke at a great place in Geneva. Aftherwards I got to stroll the streets of downtown with the hopes of just possibly running into anyone I knew. It worked and of course they thought Ryker was adorable and I couldn't help but agree!
