A new tradition....

For Le and I - valentines day has always meant 3 must haves:

1.) A card from hallmark

2.) A nice dinner

3.) A trip to the auto show

for as long as I can remember when we dated - that was how we spent it. This year, we spent valentines day in green lake for Brooke & Kevin's tasting - so instead we decided to hit the Auto Show a week late. This morning - we made our first visit to the autoshow as a family. (takes on a whole new meaning, when you stand online at Hyundai, not to see a car, but instead to get the free "thundersticks" they are handing out for kids! Either way, Ry and his dad loved it and hopefully will soon become a father and son tradition!

Is it a thick or thin envelope?

I recently have been thinking alot about the day that I got my acceptance letter from Miami. My dad had steamed the letter open ahead of time (and then attempted to tape it back shut) - his excuse, he needed a plan in case he had to talk me off a ledge. He knew how badly I wanted to go there. Thankfully - I got in and he didn't have to worry.

A few days ago, I felt the same way with Ryker (although he has NO idea!) - Le and I have been hitting the preschool circuit (which is an INSANE process in Chicago) and we fell in love with Cherry Preschool in Evanston. We did the open house, the thank you note, the lottery and then just prayed! So, when the envelope arrived - I found that I looked at the envelope and got worried b/c it was thin.....but it was OK - he is IN! and the forms just come in April....

Wow - I have officially become one of those crazy moms :-)
