Is it a thick or thin envelope?

I recently have been thinking alot about the day that I got my acceptance letter from Miami. My dad had steamed the letter open ahead of time (and then attempted to tape it back shut) - his excuse, he needed a plan in case he had to talk me off a ledge. He knew how badly I wanted to go there. Thankfully - I got in and he didn't have to worry.

A few days ago, I felt the same way with Ryker (although he has NO idea!) - Le and I have been hitting the preschool circuit (which is an INSANE process in Chicago) and we fell in love with Cherry Preschool in Evanston. We did the open house, the thank you note, the lottery and then just prayed! So, when the envelope arrived - I found that I looked at the envelope and got worried b/c it was thin.....but it was OK - he is IN! and the forms just come in April....

Wow - I have officially become one of those crazy moms :-)

    This post cracks me up! I forgot about your dad opening your MU letter....that is hysterical! Like there was any doubt you would get in :)

    I am glad Ry got into the school that you wanted. Before we were parents we never imagined we would worry so much about preschool or Kindergarten, but alas, it is all consuming when it is going on. We are still waiting for Laney's for the school we want in Cincinnati. I hope we get as lucky as you did!

    I expect nothing less than President or CEO from Ry :) Well, we would like a dentist around so that would be great too!
