The party is officially over and while usually blowing out the candles is the end of the celebration, no one enjoyed seeing their little boy blow out his candles more than his dad and me - to see what a happy little kid he has become is truly a joy and we are so lucky!
Most people in my family know that when I get an idea stuck in my head, I usually can't let it die until I make it happen. That definitely happened this year with Ryker's train party - I saw a picture and that was it...there was no turning back, we were going to recreate it! and I am happy to say....WE DID IT! It was perfect! Here are some pictures from the day!
The completed project! It looks just like the picture!! :-)
A few little details...the cakepops were definitely a hit!
More of the table...
and some more...
The amazing cake from Grandma!!
The Miami connection
My neighbor, Emily and her son Johnny. He calls Ry, "the Ryker"
my little engineer
As everyone sang "Happy Birthday" - he danced, clapped and smiled through the
whole thing - it was as if he was saying (for my miami friends) -
"THANKS FOR COMING TO MY BIRTHDAY!" He loved it!
His attempt at blowing out the candles...
Two partners in crime...there is just something i really love about this picture.
Rykers good friend, Bella - she is having a great time!
Another great friend of ry's - Tyler Chadwick (and of course his great parents!)
One more shot of the birthday boy before he crashed!
He slept the whole afternoon!
Thank you everyone for coming and helping us celebrate!

Happy Birthday, Ry!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are great, Liz. I know how tough it is to be the host and get pics at the same time. Your decorations and are always too cute--will you come do Ella's party for me?
GREAT job and what a happy, wonderful son you have. He makes all of the party planning worth it for sure!
And....THANKS FOR COMING TO MY BIRTHDAY. Love that line. One more question though....where's Riley?? ;) Miss you like crazy!
