Well, it has been several months and a hiatus from the blog - but Ry and I are back!
It was his first birthday party over the weekend and it was definitely a hit. We had so much fun with all our family and friends here to celebrate. Ry's Uncle Loc and Aunt Beatrice even made it in for the occasion! We did a cookie monster theme. We served mini hot dogs; mini hamburgers and mini grilled cheese, pasta salad, fruit skewers and of course a cookie cake! Here are some pics from the event...

I of course also saw a picture of these great round balloons online - so I decided to go all over the city of chicago until I found them!! 36in balloons are hard to come by but they looked great! They did almost cause a car accident after they were blown up - since his father couldn't see out of any of his windows - but he made it :-)
And of course, here is the birthday boy himself, in his vintage sesame street t-shirt ready to blow out his candles! (this is the "before" shot)
